Last updated: 2026-07-17
tc.whataicando.site ("we", "us", or "the Site") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our free psychological self-assessment tools and related services. Please read this Policy carefully in its entirety before using the Site.
By registering an account, completing a test, browsing pages, or otherwise using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please discontinue use of the Site. This Policy applies to the services accessed through your web browser and does not cover third-party websites that the Site may link to.
The Site provides self-report mental-health screening tools and is not a medical provider. It does not offer medical diagnoses or treatment. For important information about the nature of test results, please see the "Medical Data Notice" section below.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our self-assessment services, we collect personal information in the following situations:
- Account information: When you register an account, we collect your email address and the password you choose. Your password is stored only after being processed with a one-way hashing algorithm; we never store or transmit your password in plain text.
- Test responses and results: When you complete a self-assessment, we record your answers to the test items, the score or category calculated by the system, and the time of completion. This information is linked to your account and displayed on your "History" page so you can review it later.
- Automatically collected information: When you visit the Site, our servers and third-party analytics tools automatically record your device type, browser type, operating system, IP address (or a truncated version of it), time of visit, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate geographic location.
- Locally stored information: We use your browser's localStorage to remember your language preference (zh-CN / en-US) and to preserve any in-progress test responses, so that you can resume after refreshing the page.
Apart from the information listed above, we do not actively collect sensitive personal data such as your real name, government identification number, phone number, home address, or payment card details. Unless you voluntarily provide such information to us (for example, by email), we have no way of obtaining it.
2. How We Use Information
We process your personal information only for the purposes described below, in a manner proportionate to each purpose:
- Providing the service: Verifying your identity, saving your test results, displaying your history, and keeping your account operational.
- Improving the service: Using aggregated and statistical analysis to understand how each test is used, how effective the items are, and where technical issues may exist, so that we can improve test content and the overall experience.
- Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and automated malicious access, and protecting the Site and all users.
- Service communications: Sending you service-related notices when necessary, such as account security alerts or notifications of material changes to this Policy or our Terms of Service.
- Advertising and measurement: Measuring advertising effectiveness and showing you more relevant ads through third-party advertising and analytics services (see below).
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. Except as expressly described in this Policy, we do not share information that identifies you personally with any third party.
3. Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies
To keep the Site working and to improve your experience, we use cookies and similar tracking technologies. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Similar technologies include web beacons and pixel tags.
- Essential functionality: Some technologies are tied to the basic operation of the Site, such as using localStorage to remember your language preference and in-progress test responses. This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
- Google Analytics (GA4) cookies: We use Google Analytics to understand traffic volume, traffic sources, and user behavior within the Site. GA4 sets cookies in your browser and may collect truncated IP addresses, device information, and usage data. This data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy.
- Consent Mode: The Site uses Google Consent Mode. Until you make a choice via the banner at the bottom of the page, both Google Analytics and Google AdSense remain in a "denied" state and collect no analytics or advertising data. Only after you choose "Accept All" are analytics and personalized ads enabled. You can restore the default denied state at any time by clearing this Site's data in your browser.
- Google AdSense cookies: The Site displays ads served by Google AdSense. To deliver more relevant ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud, AdSense and its vendors may collect device and usage data through cookies, and may use truncated IP addresses to infer your approximate location.
- Ad personalization: Some ads may be personalized based on your past browsing activity. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings or the "About Ads" opt-out link.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect some features of the Site (for example, you may not stay signed in or may lose your language preference).
4. Third-Party Services
To provide analytics, advertising, and infrastructure, the Site relies on the following third-party service providers. These providers independently collect and process data in the course of delivering their services and are governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics (analytics): Provided by Google LLC, used for website usage analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy and supplementary terms for details.
- Google AdSense (advertising): Provided by Google LLC, used to display ads on the Site. Google may use cookies to serve interest-based ads.
- API hosting: The Site's front end and back-end API are hosted on separate servers provided by third-party cloud providers, which process data only to the extent necessary to deliver the underlying computing and storage services.
The above third parties are independent controllers or processors of personal information. We are not responsible for how they handle your information outside the scope of their respective services, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of each provider.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Your account information and test results are stored on servers operated by us and the third-party providers described above. As long as your account is active, we retain your account information and related test records so that you can review your history at any time.
After you delete your account, we will permanently delete or anonymize your account information and test records that identify you from our production systems within a reasonable period. Log-type data that is no longer needed is automatically deleted or anonymized after a reasonable period, based on business need and security requirements.
Where retention is required by law, or is necessary to respond to disputes or to enforce our rights, we may continue to retain the necessary portions of the relevant data beyond the periods described above.
6. Your Rights
We respect your control over your personal information. Depending on applicable law, you may have the following rights:
- Access and review: You can view your personal information and test history at any time by signing in to your account. You may also contact us at the address below to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction and updating: You can correct your information in your account settings, or contact us for assistance in fixing inaccuracies.
- Account and data deletion: Log in and visit the "Profile" page, click "Delete Account" and confirm with your registered email to permanently delete your account and all associated data (test records, concern submissions, etc.) immediately; you may also contact us to request deletion. Anonymous answers from visitors without an account live only in your browser's localStorage — clearing your browser data removes them completely.
- Withdraw consent and opt out of tracking: You can clear or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time to opt out of analytics and advertising tracking. For Google personalized ads, you may also use Google's official opt-out tools.
- Data portability: Where permitted by applicable law, you may request a copy of the personal information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used format.
- Complaints: If you believe our processing of your personal information infringes your rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
To protect security, we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within a reasonable period after receiving your request; if we decline a request, we will explain the reason.
7. Children's Privacy
If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verifiable guardian consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible. Guardians who become aware of such a situation should contact us using the details below.
8. Medical Data Notice
Because test results are inherently self-reported subjective information rather than medical diagnoses, we process and protect them as ordinary personal information and do not classify them as special-category health data. This does not reduce our responsibility for security, and we will continue to take the reasonable measures described below to protect your data.
9. Information Security Measures
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction:
- Encrypted transmission: All communication between the Site and our servers is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS).
- Password protection: Your password is processed with a one-way hashing algorithm before being stored. We never store your password in plain text or ask you for it.
- Access controls: Access to personal information is limited to personnel with a legitimate business need and is subject to appropriate audit mechanisms.
- Continuous monitoring: We continuously monitor for potential security threats and respond to incidents in accordance with legal requirements.
However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. Although we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a security incident involving your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law.
10. International Data Transfers
Because the Site and the third-party providers we rely on (such as Google) may have servers located outside your country or region, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in another jurisdiction. In such cases, we will take reasonable measures to ensure your personal information receives a level of protection consistent with this Policy, and we will comply with applicable cross-border data transfer requirements.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, or operational needs. The revised Policy will be posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will be updated accordingly. For material changes (such as new purposes for data use or new third-party services), we will also provide notice through in-site notifications or email.
Revisions to this Policy take effect when they are posted. If you continue to use the Site after a revised Policy takes effect, you are deemed to agree to be bound by the revised Policy; if you do not agree, please stop using the Site and delete your account and data as described in this Policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have any questions, suggestions, or complaints about this Policy or how we handle your personal information, or if you wish to exercise any of the rights described in this Policy, please contact us at:
- Email: [email protected]
- Contact page: You may also submit a request through the "Contact" page on this Site.
We will respond within a reasonable period after receiving your request. To help us verify your identity and handle your request, please include your account email and a description of your request in your message.
